Sasmit Pokharel (born March 14, 1996) is a Nepali politician and legal professional serving as Minister of Education, Science, and Technology, as well as Minister. of Youth and Sports since 2026. He is also the official spokesperson of the Government of Nepal. Elected from Kathmandu–5 under the Rastriya Swatantra Party, he represents a new generation of leadership. He is among the youngest members of Nepal’s 7th House of Representatives.

- Defeated major leaders including Pradeep Paudel, Ishwar Pokharel, and Kamal Thapa

- Worked as Associate Expert in the City Planning Commission
- Served as Advisor on Education and Urban Planning to Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah
