Raghuji Pant is a prominent Nepali politician and senior leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist), commonly known as CPN (UML). He is currently serving as the Minister for Education, Science, and Technology of Nepal, a position he assumed on 24 April 2025 under Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and President Ram Chandra Poudel.

Before entering politics, Raghuji Pant worked as a journalist and author, gaining recognition for his writing and communication skills. He later became the head of the Publicity (Propaganda) Department of CPN (UML) and is also a member of the party’s Central Committee.

Pant has had a long and active political career. He was elected as a Member of Parliament from Lalitpur-3 in both the 1994 and 1999 general elections. In July 2004, he was appointed as the Minister of Labour and Transport Management in the government led by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. Although he lost the 2008 Constituent Assembly election from Lalitpur-3 to Maoist leader Pampha Bhusal, he continued to serve his party and country.

In the 2022 federal elections, Raghuji Pant returned to Parliament through proportional representation under CPN (UML). Known for his dedication and experience, he remains a respected figure in Nepali politics.
