Bidya Bhattarai (also spelled Bidhya Bhattarai) is a politician from Nepal. She served as the Minister of Education, Science, and Technology in the past. Since 2019, she has been a member of Nepal’s House of Representatives.

She entered politics after the death of her husband, Rabindra Prasad Adhikari, who was a cabinet minister. He died in a helicopter crash in February 2019. Later that year, she ran in a by-election in the Kaski-2 constituency, which had become vacant after his death. She won the election by more than 8,000 votes, defeating Khemraj Paudel from the Nepali Congress party. She was re-elected from the same area in 2022.

On April 21, 2025, she resigned from her position as Minister of Education, Science, and Technology. Her resignation came during ongoing protests by community school teachers, who had been demonstrating since April 2, 2025. The protests were demanding the government pass the School Education Bill, which had not been approved.
